Our story
Tours That Make Sense was founded in 2025 by Romeo Savio, a licensed tour guide with years of experience leading travelers around the world.
After years of sharing stories, cultures, and hidden gems with visitors, Romeo realized something was missing — a deeper sense of purpose.
Tour guiding is a profession built on passion and human connection, yet it often exists in an industry that gives little back to the places and people that make travel possible.
That realization sparked an idea:
What if we could do the same job — guiding travelers — but in a way that genuinely creates social impact?
From that question, Tours That Make Sense was born: a platform where tourism and community development work hand in hand.
By reinvesting 50% of the platform’s commission into local social projects, we ensure that every tour booked contributes directly to improving the lives of people in that destination.
What began as one guide’s vision for meaningful travel has evolved into a movement for responsible tourism — a growing network of guides, travelers, and communities redefining what it means to explore the world.
